Rotherhithe
Rotherhithe has so far missed out on regeneration projects, despite being a stone's throw from Canary Wharf and the nearby Bermondsey.
However this is all set to change with a £3.3bn regeneration plan for nearby Canada Water. Over the next 15 years, British Land will transform the 53 acres of riverside into a brand-spanking new town centre, complete with 3,000 net-zero new homes for sale in early 2023, to be completed in 2024.
Alongside the new homes, there's also to be new entertainment facilities, commercial spaces, and a new broadwalk around Canada Dock.
There's already plenty of riverside pubs for a cheeky weekend drink, as well as green spaces like Stave Hill Ecological Park and Southwark Park. You could even learn to sail, paddle board or even windsurf at Surrey Docks Fitness and Water Sports Centre!

Finsbury Park
Finsbury Park in north London has shrugged of its old reputation of being basic, and in recent years has become a popular house buying spot for young Londoners.
In place of the cheap, wholesale fashion shops which once characterised the area are now snazzy wine bars, cute cafes and up-and-coming restaurants including sourdough pizzerias, delis and gastropubs.
Close to Islington and Camden, the area is a favourite among professionals looking to buy a place of their own.
But it's not all work - the area not only boasts the eponymous park, but is also not too far from the Woodberry Wetlands nature reserve and Clissold Park.

Brent Cross
Brent Cross in Barnet is currently undergoing a £8bn project that will see 6,700 new homes, parks, sports facilities, and public spaces be developed in the area over the coming years.
The so-called Brent Cross Town development is an impressive 15–20 years project - in fact the first new homes are already available for sale, with prices started from around £400,000.
This year, the Brent Cross West station is also set to open along the Thameslink line, with services to King's Cross.
For those who want a pre-owned home, Hendon’s streets offer good value early 20th century houses that start around the £600,000 mark for a three-bed.
