Rotherhithe

Rotherhithe has so far missed out on regeneration projects, despite being a stone's throw from Canary Wharf and the nearby Bermondsey.

However this is all set to change with a £3.3bn regeneration plan for nearby Canada Water. Over the next 15 years, British Land will transform the 53 acres of riverside into a brand-spanking new town centre, complete with 3,000 net-zero new homes for sale in early 2023, to be completed in 2024.

Alongside the new homes, there's also to be new entertainment facilities, commercial spaces, and a new broadwalk around Canada Dock.

There's already plenty of riverside pubs for a cheeky weekend drink, as well as green spaces like Stave Hill Ecological Park and Southwark Park. You could even learn to sail, paddle board or even windsurf at Surrey Docks Fitness and Water Sports Centre!
