History

Finham was a quintessential village in Warwickshire that belonged to the monks of Stoneleigh Abbey once upon a time. The Abbey was founded in 1154, and was the home of the Leigh family from 1561 to 1990, after which time the abbey transferred ownership to a charitable trust.

History

Allesley has a long history which dates back to Norman times when there was a Motte and Bailey castle in the grounds of what is now Allesley Hall. The park itself was established as a deer park in the 13th century.

Allesley village was mainly a popular spot for lodgers and stage coach travellers en route to Shrewsbury, Chester and Ireland. The village developed around the 800-year old All Saints Church over time. Today, it still holds charming qualities which remind you of another time, including quaint cottages, larger manor houses and old pubs.
